Aired its final episode on the Friday before Wheel's premiere. The original Wheel aired on NBC, in varying time slots between 10:30 am and noon, until June 30, 1989. Throughout that version's run, episodes were generally 30 minutes in length, except for six weeks of shows aired between December 1975 and January 1976 which were 60 minutes in length. Between the reveal of the category and the beginning of ‘The Wheel’ we’re talking around 80% commercials in a 10 minute block of time. If you watch Jeopardy 5 days a week, like any normal person does, that’s nearly 4,000 minutes a year of commercials. The median age of Jeopardy viewers is 64.2 years old. Jul 20, 2020 Trebek hosted Wheel of Fortune, and Sajak hosted Jeopardy! Though he may need to stop hosting Jeopardy! Earlier than his contract ends due to health reasons, he is currently set to host the show.
